The Learners Chorus () is a chorus based in Hong Kong. It was established in November 1979 by Andrew Chan and his friends at the University of Hong Kong as the Students' Union Choir.〔The Learners Chorus Annual Concert 2006 official programme〕 Mr. Apollo Wong has been the Music Director of the chorus since January 2005.〔 ==Repertoire== The Learners perform regularly, with a repertoire that includes religious chorales, Christmas carols, madrigals, folk songs, operas, Broadway musicals, classical pieces, and works by contemporary composers. In recent years, the Learners Chorus has performed major choral works with full orchestra in their annual concerts. These include Mozart's ''Requiem Mass in D minor, K. 626'' in 2006, Prokofiev's ''Alexander Nevsky'' in 2007, Bach's ''Magnificat in D major, BWV 243'' (along with Rutter's ''Magnificat'') in 2008, Mahler's ''Symphony No. 8 in E-flat major (Symphony of a Thousand)'' in 2009, Rossini's ''Messa di Gloria'' and Brahms' ''Schicksalslied'' in 2010 and Verdi's Requiem in 2012.
